Kaskade and Wolfgang Gartner are both legends in the EDM scene. No wonder that a mashup of the two was made by Kaskade himself.
The vocals of Steppin’ Out fit Wolfgang Gartner’sUndertaker just perfect. A beautiful vibe is going on throughout the song and it is one of my favourite mashups if I think about it. I don’t remember hearing a better combination in a mashup.

Savant has been my favourite artist for a long time. Since I first heard Starscream Forever on Beatport I was hooked. I loved his old chip tune style and I love his new style also but something about his earlier dubstep and electro tracks was so unique that it didn’t get boring for me.
Today I dug up Heartmakers from his Mastermind EP which was released in June 2012. There is not much to say about this track. It is a dubstep track, it is melodic and so fucking beautiful. It fits the title just perfect and I can’t stop listening to it right now.
Just listen to Heartmakers for yourself:

Joey Youngman aka Wolfgang Gartner is one of the first producers I remember listening to when I really started to get into EDM. I especially like his older and harder electro house tracks which leads me to the song I choose for todays blog post.
Firepower is an all time classic for me. I even got a vinyl copy a few months ago. It is one of my favourite complextro tracks alongside tracks from Mord Fustang and others. What makes this song so good for me is the brutal drop and the beautiful progression throughout the track. No drop is exactly the same as the other before with small changes or even big changes applied to them.
Just listen to Firepower yourself and see if you agree with me:

This remix of the track I Can’t Get Out from Sex Whales was done by Dec3mber or better known as Chime. Chime is his new alias because he thought that not many people will find his music if they google for Dec3mber (watch the full explanation here).
While I really like the music he puts out under Chime (he didn’t even change his style so it is not a surprise that I like it) I listened to old Dec3mber tunes. The one track I decided to post here is his remix of I Can’t Get Out by Sex Whales. A heavy dubstep track with melodic parts.

Baauer and RL Grime are two of the best Trap producers out there. It was a matter of time that the two would make a track together. In the year 2013 it finally happened that they both went on tour together and they used the opportunity to produce one of my favourite trap songs of all time.
The song Infinite Daps was named after the tour, Baauer, RL Grime , Ryan Hemsworth and Jim-E-Stack went on together. The fact that they called the track like that shows how important it was and probably still is for Baauer and RL Grime. The tour even got a documentary which you can watch here

Flush is a relatively unknown Funk House producer. His most recent track is a fresh twist on the 80’s song Relax from the british band Frankie Goes To Hollywood. Together with a clean saxophone and some funky drums it creates a completely new atmosphere.

MrPrototypeRaptor is a producer from the USA who makes Electronic music. His influences are other musicians such as deadmau5, Justice, Wolfgang Gartner, Daft Punk and other legendary producers.
His latest single is called Singularity and it’s not the sound I was used to hear from MrPrototypeRaptor. When I started the song I thought I was listening to some Psy-Trance track but that changed as soon as the first drop came in. I was impressed at how unique it sounds. I normally don’t hear music that is so “different” but I somehow like these metallic sounds and the kicks fit so perfect that I can’t dislike it.

Mord Fustang is an Electro and Dubstep Producer from Estonia who is known for video game influences in his music. Since I first discovered him on Beatport back when Super Meat Freeze first came out I was hooked. His style was unique and really interesting and I especially liked the video game influence the music had because I loved playing those myself.
But Super Meat Freeze is not my favourite Mord Fustang track. The song that I first think of when I hear the name Mord Fustang has to be Lick The Rainbow. Realeased shortly after Super Meat Freeze it has a similiar style but way more complex. I had to think about the Song after Mord released a short Mixtape of unreleased material on Soundcloud (Listen here). After listening to it I started his debut album 9999 in 1 which was released in 2015 but I suddenly got the urge to listen to his older tracks too so I ended up listening to Lick The Rainbow all day.
